Marriott International came back to the bargaining table with a new counter-offer to acquire Starwood Hotels & Resorts, and the two companies have come to an amended merger agreement which would create the largest hotel company in the world. It's not over though, as Anbang Insurance Group could still come back with yet another counter-offer for Starwood to consider.
